Name: Rocketry and Spaceflight
Date: May 13, 2017
Time: 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM CDT
Event Description:
We’re going to finish our spring season of classes with a bang! Students will learn all about rockets and spaceflight as they construct their own working model rocket. Estes model rocket kits will be supplied, and after we’ve finished building our rockets we’ll go to the field by our Engineering building for a pizza powered rocket lunch. We’ll provide the pizza and drinks, and we’ll all get a chance to actually launch our rockets. The rockets are reusable, so students will be able to bring them home and launch them again and again! At noon we will move to the Engineering field for our picnic launch. The fee for this class includes the cost of the rocket kit. This class will only meet once. Suggested Ages: 7 and up
