Event Description:
The Joseph F. Glidden Homestead and Historical Center announces the 2017 Annual Fund Raiser, "The Taste," known in the past eight years as Divas Dish, on April 22nd from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Barsema Alumni and Visitors Center on Glidden Road in DeKalb. The event is a taste testing event to benefit the work at the the most important barn in the country where barbed wire (The Winner) was first patented by Mr. Glidden in 1874. Local volunteer "Chefs" from the area will present samples of tried and true favorite recipes. The event will also include a Silent Auction, Raffle, Annie's Attic, and welcoming music by local musician Zachary Harris. Purchase tickets for the event at First National Bank locations, Daily Chronicle, Sycamore Chamber of Commerce, American Title and Guaranty, and the Glidden Homestead by calling the Homestead at 815/756-7904 or emailing info@gliddenhomestead.org.
