Music at St. John presents an Organ Recital—August 16th, 2026

SYCAMORE, IL — The Evangelical Lutheran Church of St. John will present an organ recital on Sunday, August 16th, at 3:00 PM. The recital, played on the magnificent 3-manual Berghaus organ, continues the celebration of the church's 150th anniversary. Headlining the recital is the church's Music Director, Nicholas Hansen. Hansen will play Bach’s “Prelude and Fugue on St. Anne” and an arrangement of Barber's “Adagio for Strings,” in addition to works by Bruhns, Vierne, and an original hymn tune. Also featured on the program is Hansen’s brother, Jonathan. Jonathan is a recent graduate of Augustana College and will perform arias from Handel’s Messiah and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera.

All are invited to attend this free program and have their souls refreshed!
